Actually my son is not very interested in TV. He seldom will watch the TV for a long time. He only likes to watch the weather forecast. Besides, he liked watching America's Funniest Home Videos before. But it seems that he doesn't like it because one day he felt scared to see a boy stuck in the chair from this show. It wasn't funny for him. Yesterday my husband showed him the cartoon Tom and Jerry from the computer. He likes it a lot and even bookmarked the link address I think this cartoon gives us a wrong concept. He said the cat was the bad one

Hi youless, my son loved to watch tv cartoon during his kindergarten days. He usually would watch the cartoon after his siesta at 5 pm or so in the evening. I still remember the interesting cartoon “Popeye the Sailorman”. I always accompanied him to watch the cartoon together. That's why I know his favorite tv cartoon well.
Popeye the Sailorman is a tv cartoon series. Popeye would become a man of enormous strength after eating a can full of spinach. He then could defeat his opponents easily. I had forgotten the names of his opponents. Yeah, I still remember Olive, but I’m not sure whether she was his girlfriend or wife lol The theme song of the cartoon was melodious as well, and my son liked to sing it all the time.
Thanks a lot youless, this wonderful topic makes me to recall those sweet and memorable days
Happy posting and have a nice day.

Wow! It didn’t occur to me totally, mine is awarded the best response in such a short while.
Thank you youless for the awarding.
Yeah, Popeye is one of the attractive classical cartoons that many kids in my place still like to watch them at the moment.

My daughter's favorite cartoon changes very often... but nowadays she really is not into watching tv... she prefer to play with her toys... but she still watches at night... like Ben 10, Chowder, Tom and Jerry, and even Courage the Cowardly Dog... but she can be scared at times... so she would ask me to go to another channel...

Hello youless. I cannot tell exactly what is my son's favorite cartoon because at a different stage of age, he has a different favorite cartoon, but it seems that he likes cartoons all the time ever since he started to like watch TV. Good luck, youless.

The cat is the good one, even as a child I was outraged on how the mouse always won.
1. That makes no sense.
2. Poor cat.
Try out old Russian animation, if you could find somewhere to download with a translation, then it would be much better animation for a child, than those violent cartoons we get today.

He likes watching the weather forecast? That's interesting.
Yes Tom and Jerry are a bit violent and yes the cat is the bad one, but sometimes it's the mouse who starts it off!
As for my son he likes watching Little einsteins a lot. It's a Disney cartoon. But there is also Pocoyo and like you said Tom and Jerry. Then there is Diego the Animal Rescuer... It's very entertaining and educational too. Try visiting Disney Channel's website or Nick Jr' site. You will find some games and maybe some episodes that you can watch.
