Why people sing in their bathroom???

Hi, arkasen! I guess they sing because they want time to past by very fast. They sing because they are happy and excited. My husband sings every now and then when he gets in the shower. I don't see how he can do that.. I could never understand how. I may talk to myself when I am in the shower, about a situation that I may be dealing with, or my personal feelings for someone. That is all. I know that it may sound wierd, but I do it. I am sure that we all do it from time to time, or all of the time. I may sing when I am listening to a song on the T.V. or radio. And I may sing when I am thinking about a song as I am in the house. Many people sing for different reasons, my main guess would be to make their shower move along faster and smoother. It gives them something to do to kill time. And they sing because they may be in love, when my husband sings he sings love songs..

some do it for the acoustic properties.tile bathrooms in particular tend to amplify the sound naturally.

i guess i am. :) but not only do i sing in bathrooms, i sing whenever i feel like it so it doesn't matter which part of the house i want to sing in... like kitchen while cooking or in my office at home while taking a short break... and so on. i don't know why other people sing in the bathroom but i can only speak for myself... :) when i sing in the bathroom, the sound reverberates, producing a lingering sound close to an echo. the room is confined so you can actually hear a bit of your own singing. and it's supposedly private. you can sing your heart out and be yourself without an audience. :)

I think it is because you can do nothing but to sing when you are showering.You cannot watch TV program in the bathroom and do any other things.Singing is the only thing you can do in the bathroom.So there are so many people are shower-singer.Besides,some people only sing in bathroom but not other places cause they are not so confident to their singing.They don't want other people listen to their singing.On the other hand,they really like singing and want to sing!So,they choose bathroom as their stage.Their friends will not hear their voice,and they needn't to care about the critics of their singing skill.

That many people sing in their bathroom is because when they are there they are free from all anxiety at lest for the moment. Besides taking bath is refreshing and a refreshed mind is ever cheerful. May be this is the cause. I too sing and I feel elated for nothing and the moment I come out of the bathroom I cease to sing.

Hi Arkasen, nice to meet you. Many people happy to sing in the bathroom, because: 1. Response to the smooth circulation of blood, because the flush water body; 2. Happy; 3. Rather than yelling or talking that is not necessarily; 4. Audio to be better, because there is resonance; 5. There is no protest / criticism.

I never sang in the shower it is not because I can't sing. I have never understood why people do sing in the shower.

Although this question sounds funny,the fact is true.Bathroom singers are common.Some people sing in bathrooms as they think that their sound is not so good, and others might tease them.They usually underestimate themselves for no reason.
