I have not done too much of this. But,it won't hurt me to take the time each day to write a few memories and what I did that day in a journal for information of this lifetime. Therefore people in the future will understand what our lifestyle was like now of everyday people. Not just of the presidents and other people that will be in the history books. Do you write everyday things down? Do you keep a diary or a journal? It is never too late to start. You can write memories down.

I am a huge fan of telling people to start a personal journal!! I think that righting down your personal thoughts can be helpful to an idividual....as well a be interesting for future readers. I have two journals actually. One I use a mirror book. I will record my thoughts, fears, dreams...anything that is on my mind, so that in the future I can look back an reflect on my own personal feelings. This can be very helpful when you are in a stage of you life where you are trying to figure it (life)out. I find that sometimes it is hard to make objective decisions when your options revolve around emotion. Many people make rash decisions because of the way they feel about the situation. For example, lets say that you have be reprimanded at work for being late to the job. At first, you may become very upset because you are typically never late....but lately you have been dealing with crucial family issues. You are obviously under stress and you want you boss to understand and are infuriated when basically you realize that it's not his/her problem. But, your boss has a job to do! That night you go home and are very upset and feel like your boss doesn't even care. Some people could act very irrationally and argue with thier boss or goes as far as quit thier jobs. When you keep a journal, you can write this situation down, and when you go to reflect a few days later...you may see the situation in a new light. And, in turn, you may feel less offended about being reprimanded. This is just one simple example....but I think that a journal can be very helpful with self-reflection. The other journal I keep are just my random thoughts and theories about life or anything of my interest. I like to collect these ideas to see how much my opinions change over the years. I realize that as I grow older my perspective about a subject may change, and I enjoy understanding my own personal change in perspective.

No, never write a single diary or journal voluntarily. Those days of writing a weekly journal were over, I hate writing journal for teacher to mark. It's supposed to be a private affair, to write for my eyes only, but teacher wanted to mark and reward marks for a well-written journal. Since then, have not written a single word on personal life. Sometimes write my thoughts in my blog, but not so personal as in journal style.

In the past I have written at least a full page each day. Now I am writing, blogging, posting online so I just write a few lines at the end of the day in my diary. It helps me sort out my thoughts and feelings to write down my goals and expectations. I have always used diaries and journals to record what I have done, where I have been and what I have seen or read. I find something each day to be grateful for and I am reminded of these things when I read back through my old journals and diaries.

At various times in my life I've started journals. I never write more than a few days, then the journal is forgotten. It's sad because I have one handwritten journal that I came across while cleaning out my office a few days ago. It had some personal feelings and some events that I'd forgotten about. I read those few pages and reflected on how far the lives of my family and myself have progressed in the years that have lapsed and wished I'd written all the things that happened in between. I seem to write in a journal either by hand or on the computer when I'm conflicted, going through a crisis etc. and then as life smooths out I forget about it. I'm nothing if I'm not inconsistant.

I have written many diaries/journals in the past. I loved writing them because it gave me a way to get out all of my feelings and emotions, it was a major release. I should start writing one again, but the thing is that for some reason i always stop writing at one point because either my life gets too busy or every entry seems to be the same thing or tone, so i think i need to come up with or find some journal entry ideas/exercises, there are plenty on the internet im pretty sure

I wrote the diary, but I like to write in the book, because it will feel. I like to record some fragmentary thoughts, ideas or insights in life. Although incomplete, but representative of my thoughts and feelings in the course of this phase.
