For how long do you burp a baby?

I breastfeed my baby, and i read than breastfeed babies dont have as much gasses as bottlefed babies, but putting that aside do you burp your baby for a specific amount of time or until you hear them burp? im a little confused in this area...

everytime,after i feed her,i pat her back for a while to let her burp. YOu could try it. good luck.
