Skip Beat based on the comic series still publishing with the same name. The animation follows the story line in the comic very truthfully. A typical Japanese comedy But (I have to add the but) they story and the meanings of life which laid behind the humour are what touch me most.
Animation Series has finished already. A total of 23 episodes. It's quite possible to have another series because there is no actual ending. The outline is about a wistful yet cheery 16 year old who sacrifice everything to support her boyfriend to be a singer. She was betrayed and to seek revenge against him, the story begins. Kyoto Mogami was the girl's name. She choose to revenge by being the top star in Japan. The director of the entertainment company she interview found she is talent but missing the emotion of love. Thus put her in a "Love Me" department which target to help people who seek help in the company. In which, Kyoto met a lot of people including the famous actor, Ren Tsuruga. Through helping the other, she grew and learned a lot of things about life.
This is an anime which worth watching.

Oh, I love this series! I had been expecting it since I first learned they were finally going to translate it to anime. I've been a fan of the manga since it came to my attention, and while I was a little apprehensive of the inevitable change the move to anime would make, I was very open to enjoying myself.
I enjoyed the 90's style of art. I heard a lot of criticisms about it, but I loved how it was true to that because Skip Beat! has been on-going for so long and the mangaka does indeed have a distinct 90's style. The comedy is funny and I love the voices. The chibis!
While I do agree to not liking the part where they ended the anime, I'm hoping for a second season, as there's still a lot of material to cover. Hopefully, the DVDs sell well as well as the game. Here's to hoping I can watch it again next year! :D

The way they are going to keep close the manga, I don't think the second season will be out too soon. What a pity. I read the manga after the anime but they are even better. The anime follows the the manga faithfully but still some details are missed.
I just hope the second season will come out sooner.

Yea. I enjoy Skip Beat too. The only episode I don't really like is the last episode. It's real disappointing end to a good anime series! The way they try to wrap up everything in the last few minutes is pretty lame.
As a whole, I like Skip Beat! It's really funny and I love Kyoko is 'devil' mode!! Everything is very good except for the art/animation, the music and the last episode.
