if you want to buy a laptop,which brand do you want to buy?

After i graduated from school,i earned some money in a small company by myself. Now i want to buy me a laptop to study some courses listen to the music,watch movies and play video game. The first brand i choose it will be IBM,becasue most of our buddies bought IBM laptop and they all love this brand, IBM is noted for strong body,durability,fine design and easy to use. what about your opinion?if you have a lovable laptop, you can recommend a brand for my reference?

I really like my Sony Vaio so far. It seems to work without having any big issues, it's reasonably priced, and if you DO need it fixed - you don't have to go through a long mail service (like you might have to do with Dell if they don't have any retail stores near you), and so on.
