"Little Brother" is an orange cat, that is probably Taj's younger brother.
Taj, as I've said, turned 7 back on the first of April.
I found Taj, on April 28th, 2002, in my front yard at 4 weeks old.
In Feb. of 2003, I spotted a pregnant tortie with 2 dilute orange cats, with very simular marks as Taj at the neighborhood Wendy's. I got my trap and went over and caught mom and the younger male and got them fixed.
I had to assure the staff of Wendy's that I would return them when I was done.
I never managed to catch the older male.
I returned the mom and the younger cat to Wendy's after I determined I wasn't going to be catch the older brother.
Shortly after I returned them, mom and the older brother disappeared. Mom, no longer driven to feed her unborn kittens, might've rediscovered that people weren't terrible.
However, "Little Brother" stayed at Wendy's. Now, 6 years old, he is still at Wendy's looking fat and sassy. I saw him tonight.
I'm happy that there is one feral that I had a part in saving the life of and extending his life. The people at Wendy's and Popeye's are also to take some credit, because they were the ones who took on feeding the cats.
I came home and gave Taj a big hug, knowing that without my finding Taj, I wouldn't have saved his life and later that of his younger brother.

That would feel so good! You are doing great work for the cats. Catching them and having them fixed is a great service! I have only two cats and one of mine was an undernourished stray that showed up on my front door step. She was thin, hungry, had problem teeth and her long coat was all matted. After looking for an owner to no avail (she was wearing a collar with no tag) I took her in, had her vet checked (she was fixed, thankfully) organized for the vet to clean her teeth, caught up with her vaccination and after a good bath and a hair cut she was mine! She now sleeps on my bed every night and wears a diamond studded pink collar (not real diamonds! LOL) and she is a spoilt princess and I am so glad I saved her by adopting her!

I bet she's glad, too. What do you call her?

My little princess is called Rosie, she's a tortoiseshell and my boy who I've had for almost 13 years is named Friday, he's all black and very handsome!

It feels good when you see a positive end result. Some businesses enjoy the company of cats as it helps with their pest populations. Lots of florists around here tend to favor cats, inside. I am glad you got to see Little Brother.

It was good of you to have them fixed and return them to people that obviusley loved them. We live near fast food restaurants and a neighor has several cats that they allow to breed and I've tried several times to catch them to no avail. I've even written them letters stating I''d help pay the spaying or neuturing fees but get no response and can't get near the cats. The poor things live under their front porch. You are a good soul and Taj is very lucky to have a responsible and kind human.

[b]Awwww...sniff. I miss Taj soooo much. I wish I could give him a big hug. I am glad his brother's well, though. Thank you, Elic, for caring.

Wow, that's a lovely story, my friend, and I'll bet you really feel happy to see how the younger brother is getting on. I would have to wonder what happened to the Mum and older brother though. I hope they're being cared for, or are at least ok in their new environment. Still... you know that you had a hand in making things possible for them, and I'm sure that means a lot.
Brightest Blessings, my friend.

after mom and the older brother disappeared, I worried about them for a while, but I had done what I could to give mom the chance for a better life, and to catch the other boy, but failed.
So, I was satisfied with what I had done for "Little Brother" and have watched him for the last 6 years thrive despite being a feral cat.
In fact, one Saturday morning, I spotted him out by the major street (and this is indeed one of the most major streets in the city) and chased him away from it so I hope that in that way I kept him alive at that point.

Here's a gold star for all your good work.
