I woudl like to share with you this short prayer that I received from a friend and I find it really helpful. I hope you try it, too. "Father, there are many parts of my life that I keep under my own control like finances, recreation, work, home, goals, habits, relationships, health and security. Oh, God, right at this very moment, I surrender to You the key to every room in my life. Holy Spirit, take hold of my entire being. Come into my heart and dwell in me. All these I pray in Jesus' mighty name. Amen".

that is really a short prayer but you should pray only that one if you understand it. for me when i was in high school i don't pray the our father because i don't even understand all the wordings. Many people are praying that and even memorized it but does not know the meaning.

I agree. Well, the prayer that I posted here actually fits me and my life. It's hard to admit that sometimes, I prioritize or worry about other worldy things and forget about God. That's why there are times whenever things go wrong or go opposite my plans and my expectations, I crumble down. So this prayer is really suited for me, and for everyone who is like me - who puts other things first and God second on their list sometimes.

That was good prayer but a prayer should not be memorized. In Matthew chapter six, there was a section about prayer and the Lord don't want us to memorized a prayer, saying it all over and over again. When we pray it should be simple and an honest prayer. We just need to be ourselves when we pray to God. And last, prayer was the measurement of how strong our spirit was. The longer we can pray, the stronger our spirit, closer we are to God.
