sleep talking... maybe something was on your mind lately and you haven't voiced it out. were you a bit more tired over the weekend than usual? :)
i think you should ask your friend what you were talking about in your sleep, if he could recall or if he could make some sense of the words. :)
i may have talked in my sleep a couple of times. :) one time, i shared a hotel room with two of my officemates after traveling 10 hours on the road, arriving at the hotel at 2:30 in the morning and we had to leave by 5:30 am to catch a 5-hour boat ride and start the second phase of the trip. i was bone tired and i needed the sleep. my officemates told me i talked in my sleep, doing project statistics in straight english, not a word in my native tongue. i thought they were pulling my leg until they told me clearly what i had been saying. true enough, i was to do a project presentation in a large conference and it has to be done in english. i guess i really did talk in my sleep then. :)

yes i was really thinking about that presentation before i went to sleep. coupled with tiredness... therefore the sleep talk.
you're just pulling my leg about the other one... or your friend had a hard time hearing accurately... -lol-

no but my brother does. he even can sing while sleeping at the night. i keep on laughing the first night i heard him. I even got my cellphone and record what he is singing. when i let him heard the record, he is not convinced that he is the one because he does not actually like to sing.

thats cool. actually i have heard that when you dream, ur subconscious mind will be rewinding your past, or thinking about ur future, or wandering about your present. your brother, in your internal mind, would like so sing and maybe because of bad sound or bad tone, he is hesitant to sing in front of others. so that song might have comes from his subconscious mind and since his conscious mind was sleeping, it didnt restrict him from sleeping..

There is nothing to try man it actually happened to one of ma friend , and when consulted to doctor he told us that brain usually supresses most of our strong emotion but if they get lose and out of control it can lead to talk in night and night walking and many more.He suggested meditation and excecises.

also, my mother used to say that my grandfather, who is well versed in english literature used to recite Shakesphere stories during his sleep. it was even more beautiful than when he recites while he is awake..

even i did have one of my cousin who used to talk a lot while sleeping. while he was 6 or 7 yrs old, one day he was sleeping near his aunt and in between he sat on top of aunt and started shouting "I CLIMBED ON MOUNT EVEREST!!!" really funny isnt it?

Hi there!
I haven't actually tried that. I think that I do murmur when I'm asleep but people around me can't really hear a comprehensible sound that would qualify into sleep-talking. There are times when I thought that I was trying to hear in my dreams but I know that I don't make the exact sound at all but just some muffled speaking.
