I used to put every poster I got from magazines up on my wardrobe wall. It pretty much covered the whole section of the wardrobe doors. I put a lot of posters up that I didn't really like that much either like some random paddle pop stick competition thing. I also drew a picture of Van from the anime Zoids which I liked very much at the time. And for a while I drew a picture of a skeleton and stuck that on the back of my door but I took it down soon after.
Since then I've removed a most of those posters and only have a zoids poster, a spider man poster and a poster of a Porche 911 Turbo remaining on the wardrobe door.
On my wall next to my desk is a calendar which is bigger than any of the posters in my room. I use it to mark dates and stuff.

Our library was painted to look like an outdoor garden. I thought it was really pretty, and I liked the feeling of reading in a garden without having to worry about the weather or bugs. There are a lot of windows in the room, too, which help keep the theme more realistic.

In Denmark it is customary to have walls absolutely covered with pictures or all sorts. I am in Canada, but being half Danish, I follow that custom. My walls are covered with a mixture of decorative plates, family photos, and artwork. The biggest thing in my apartment is a picture of the pre-9/11 NYC Shyline at night. It covers up a whole wall.

I like to have my walls full of wonderful things that I like. I have several small knick knack shelves (filled with knick knacks of course) and pictures, decorative plates, mirror, flowers, decorative hooks, and then there are large bookshelves that take up part of the wall. So I have tons of stuff all over the walls. I don't feel like I need to see a plain wall space, I like lots of stuff.
