The only way I know of to actually make the button is with the machine, or with the snap-together machineless buttons. You can use print shop for the photos. There is an awesome site called buttonmakers.net which can answer all your questions and they sell the machines. I thought about purchasing the machine for my store (I have a craft store) but the machines are pretty expensive and we didn't really have a large demand for them. American Button Machines sells the snap on type but they are not inexpensive either. I'm not really sure if we can mention sites or companies on here, so if I accidently broke a rule I'm sorry, lol. I hope this helps you. We chose not to purchase the machines or the snap-ons because its not a good investment unless you are doing a large amount of buttons. For example, 100 of the snap-on machineless buttons can run between 45 and 75 dollars.
