In my country study is really important, if you get a bachelor degree, it's really helpful to get a good job, so we need study hard to get into the famous university, and then looking for the job.

Yep, that's true. Education is most important to kids and parents in China. It's the final hope for each kids to come into a college after graduating from High school. So we need to work harder and harder in order to pass the exam of entering the college. No matter how good you were, you were nothing if you failed in that exam. How pathetic we kids are!

We take pride in what we know and the diploma is the proof that we know something more than others do.My experience in my job and the degrees anyone obtained in our field will dictate how much professional fee we can ask those who needs us.Of course, you can't just ask anyone to pay 15thousand without doing something intricate for them.No one will pay you that much if they know you never knew anything about the works.Education brings in credibility.

After so many years studying, the proplem you have advised is also boring me.Severl days ago,I readed a message that many students abandoned the chance to the college.Because they think learning in the school is unusefull.About the question you have put forward,I think study is necessery. But we dont have go to school.

Well, I am sure it is the same there are here in the US. If you want to be guaranteed a better job, the best thing for you to do is go back to School and get a degree. It does not always guarantee being able to keep your job, especially with all of the layoffs, etc. going on here in the US, but at the same time this gives you more to choose from for sure.
So if you are finding yourself studying all of the time, make sure it is really going to help what you are wanting to do later in life for a Career, and you cannot go wrong.

that's not true. Not all the Japanese people decided to choose another path for their life instead of going school .. this statement doesn't make sense to me : ).

Hi mymaria :)
Education is the most important thing that every parent could give their child. For me I didn't study because I have to, I studied because I want to. Just like what you said, we all want to be an educated person. There are jobs here in the philippines which doesn't require mostly to finish your studies, but of course you wouldn't have to expect it to be a high paying one. And I think people from other countries who didn't finish their studies doesn't have 1 job alone, they would have 2 or 3 jobs max just to compensate their needs. About the progress and comparison with our country to other countries like Japan, better look at the government we have and look at the difference :)
Happy mylotting :)

what are we going to do to pursue our goals?is it that we are to do everything just for us to have future?studying is very much important for we can learn a lot and it is one of the stepping stones in our lives.to study means to learn, therefore in order for us to learn something and to be educated,we need to study.this can help us in achieving our dreams and a very big help in our journey through this life..

yes,we need to study. No matter where you are or who you are,if you want to earn more money, you must learn much knowledge.though many subjects we are studying in school are now useless.sooner or later they can be used in real life.I read somewhere that knowledge makes people wise.If you don't want to be cheated you must have enough knowledge. So whether the subjects are useful or not,we must put our heart into them.

I know that education is important but look at the other person who don't finished their studies like Manny Pacquiao. He is now millionaire and famous all over the world. Sometimes I envy him and ask myself when can I be rich like him. Even if you finished your education it doesn't mean you can be successful in the future. I think it is depend on the determination of the person to become successful in life. You need to work hard to achieve your goal in life it needs hardship and perseverance.

yeah I got your point, mymaria. I feel bad about it. Specially that I know of some people working in a certain prestigious company here in Philippines whom did not even finish any degree. They just buy their diplomas. It is so unfair. For me, having a degree is a pride for you and your family. But I doubt if most people fulfilled their dreams just by being able to finish a degree. There are a lot of factors which a person is able to reach his a goal in life. Henry Sy is a typical example. He never earned a degree and yet his very much successful person.

Well, in my opinion, we need study.
But not all of us need high education. In china, most parents still stick to the belief that the best choice for their children is going to a college or university, no matter how their children hate study.
Even so , I still think that basic education is necessory for everyone. Because in contemporary world , the degree of civilization does affect the progress of a country.

Yeah! In my opinion one should definitely study. If not higher studies, one should have some basic knowledge to live in the world. If we don't study we will be knowing only the things that our family members taught us in our childhood, like only our mother tongue.Every one should at least study till 10th standard.Or else he/she should have some super natural powers so that they can learn every thing with out studying..
What I feel is,studying to earn money should not be the intent of anyone. Then you'll not have enough knowledge in what you have studied.First study what ever you want with full devotion. Then you will have more knowledge, then you will definitely get a job, then you can think of earning more money...
Keep smiling!!

They say and I agree that education is the most important tool for our lives. It is the key to the future. Some people study just to build their resume so that the employer would be impressed at them during the job interview. I know studying is way too boring but we really need it for the sake of our future.

Each country's national conditions and economic situation is different,so the difference is we can't be changed,we can't choose our place of birth,as we can't choose our parents!
No matter where they are allowed to work hard to learn from the success you are the best means!

To have a college degree is our only weapon in the battle of life. No one can ever get that from us. But im not saying that if you dont have a degree you can't win the battle. Many are uneducated but look at them now? Its because they have these hardwork and determination to pursue life. Its the reality here in philippines that you can't land on a job that will give you higher compensation if you're undergraduate. But, this is not the only oppurtunity so that we can earn money. Even if you are undergraduate, no education, blind, deaf, etc, we can achieve what an educated man has. But it requires, more hardwork and effort.:)

Well I quit school not too long ago and am seeking my GED. I don't see the point in wasting time in school when I can just go take a test and get pretty much the same thing. Friends of mine say that a GED would be frowned upon, but I really don't see why it would. The school in my area sucks anyways, so either way, it doesn't really matter. It's probably too late to go back for me anyways... lol
