Are we getting hooked to the internet badly !! !

From shopping to social networking to friendship to gaming to everything.. u name it and the same is there on the internet .. do u in such situation feel we're being made hooked to the internet through all these lures ???

Yes, people seem hooked on it and i must admit that i am one of them.. but we should consider that internet has been helping to make our lives a lot easier.. as for me, i don't have a real stable job due to my disease. good thing, there are available opportunities online.. i don't think i would have been able to sustain my needs most especially my medical needs without internet connection..

I appreciate your zeal to work and earn irrespective of ur condition. I dont know wat ur goin thru but i jus believe that we're slowly receeding away from real life pleasures to virtual hosts and online gimmicks to entertain ourselves. Its just a view i hold.

Well you can either call it being hooked ( which is addiction in other terms ) or you could call it dependability. It varies from person to person really. If someone just goes on the internet even if they have no work to do, just surfing randomly just for the sake of being on the internet, then that's being hooked. Whereas, if you're on the internet quite a lot and are actually looking for something that you need or want, and not just for the sake of being on the internet - then that's dependability.
I agree that more and more people are getting increasingly dependable ( even hooked! ) to the Internet, because of it's flexibility, the availability of data it provides and thanks to Search Engines and the online prospects of earning money, the popularity of the internet is ever-rising! :)
