OMG! This was before a nightmare to me--- a day without coffee at all! My head seems to explode in pain and I feel so groggy as if I'm drunk! whew! It's just a miserable feeling for me to spend a day without coffee but I thank God I survived in the ordeal. Now, I don't drink coffee anymore or any caffinated drink.
How about you, were you able to spend a day without coffee? How did you feel after? Thanks for sharing!

Hi mjmlagat,
I am glad to know that finally you recovered from the coffee addiction even if there was much struggle but it is good news. I am not drinking coffee everyday so it is not at all question for me, how to survive a day without coffee. I drink coffee occasionally only, here in my office there is preference of coffee and tea and I prefer to tea. But I am not much on tea also, drinking only two cups in a day. Now the summer is here so I planned to cut down that quantity also. It is good to drink more water instead of taking tea especially in summer.

I've gone for days without drinking coffee because I wasn't in the mood for it. I drink about 8 cups a day, usually, but it doesn't give me a caffeine buzz or keep me awake at night. I really enjoy coffee but while I'd miss it if it was gone I wouldn't have any physical symptoms--although I know many people do!

When I was in high school I can't live without coffee. As if I was addicted to it.But now, I am just contented with the smell of it's aroma while others drinking it. But once in a while I still have a cup or two but not like before when I made it part of my every meal. Thanks!

i drink coffee everyday and that is the first thing i am looking for upon waking up. i drink a lot of coffee in a day.so, a day without any coffee would ruin my day. it already became a habit and i admit i am hooked on caffeine. it makes me relax and it helps me think. i guess, it is also psychological.anyway, i love coffe.

I couldn't. I would have such bad caffeine withdraws. I did try it once though and had the worlds most horrendous headache that I have ever had in my life. I like my coffee to much to go without it.

hi mjmlagat,
I am from North of India and we dont drink coffee much and i dont remember when was last time i drank coffee. I drink tea basically and if i dont get my morning cup of tea then i feel i am missing something. SO if i have to pass a day without tea i would feel real bad.

I absolutely understand the importance of coffee to some people, particularly to Occidentals. I guess it's nation culture, just like tea is the most important drink to Orientals. But standing doctor's side, either coffee or tea can't be drunk too much. So, we should drink them in moderation for our health. Good luck!

I have been extra tired and dragging al lday. It is now five in the afternoon and I am finally getting my first cup of coffee. Apparently it's something I have been taking for granted. I don't know if it's all in my mind or not haha. But I really really do have to have coffee everyday. In college I had around eight to twelve cups a day but now it's around two.

i think i'm one of those who cannot really do without coffee. if what they say it can help those with adhd then i have adhd. i'm catatonic without it and world war 3 would be in the planning stage if you let me go without it for a day.

I like coffee but I don't have to have it, I would prefer Tea, with lemon, that always good to me, not a real coffee drinker.

Anytime I have to go without my caffeine I know the result is going to be a headache.
I have stopped drinking caffeine many times and I know this is what happens, it takes about one week for me to clear my system out.

Oddly enough, I felt fine without a day of coffee. The coffee machine in our staff lounge broke, and we all had to wait for it to be repaired.
Thankfully though I found another vice for myself, I can now officially make slushies at work, whenever I crave them!
I just walk on up to the ice machine, they create the perfect chipped ice, and the ice machine in the cafeteria makes little mini tubes of ice.
I then add whatever type fruit juice I want, with 7-up pop, mix, and enjoy with either a spoon, or just slurp away.
