talk to ur boss for work from home facility if possible and take ur work at home or else ask him for compoff or reimbursement for travelling late from work...but dont show him that you juz dont want to work as he mite enjoy more to burden you with work..

This is not an uncommon thing here in India. People are always made to work more than the set working hours. In Govt jobs only, people honour the working hours or are paid for if made to work extra. But in Private sector, the employees are made to work rigorously else they have the fear of losing their job! Also, with the current slowdown, everybody is working really hard to save their job. I don't know if labour laws are enforced very strictly in your country or not, but if so, you can always protest!

what are the laws in your land about working hours, you need to find out, also explain to them how you need a lift home because there is no bus service.

I too have been working the whole weekend these past two weeks. And I am feeling very tired now. Just hope I do not have to work this weekend too as I am looking forward to resting a lot. Have been sitting late in office since the beginning of this month.
