In the past few years the Federal Government of Canada has been taken to court repeatedly over their medicinal marijuana access regulations. Specifically that the regulation that restricts growers to a single medicinal marijuana patient is unrealistic and violates the charter of rights by not giving the patients access to their drugs. This means that Canada may soon start seeing medicinal marijuana dispensaries similar to California, but more likely it will see an increase in commercial marijuana growers.

Personally I think this is great, a step forward in reversing the ridiculous drug laws which are doing nothing but promoting violence. What do you think?

I think you know how I feel about it.
It is truly stupid to keep it illegal in the first place, when it is so innocuous. It does no harm, only serves to keep Organized Crime involved in it.
Patients should be able to cultivate a few plants for their own use. It isn't very hard to grow outside. And it is storable afterwards for the year's use.
I'm glad that another 'tiny' step forward has been made, though.
Every bit counts.
