what makes a person cheat

I think someone cheats in order to escape from something like being blamed for a particular incident, scenario or circumstance. Some people thought of when they cheat, they are not hurting anybody in the process but instead, just going on to tell white lies. I feel that a lie is a lie and a cheat is a cheat. There could be a fine line but it's still the same meaning in their own right. In other words, a person cheats because they are forced to. Either they themselves do that or definitely on purpose.

People who are no longer fantasizing about being with their lover and don't feel the need for them any longer are usually the ones that cheat. Most people who don't have strong morale's are often the ones to cheat also. I feel the more mature someone is the less likely they are to cheat.

I would say because they are not being satisfied with there mate, some Men and Women just to it because they can get away with it. But an Honest person wouldn't do that to there mate. They would stsy with them or find somebdy else.

It's honesty at the end of the day, if you are with someone and you clearly don't love them any more otherwise you wouldn't cheat, instead of being upfront and saying look the relationship is over people opt to keep the relationship going as a safety net whilst they look for something or someone more exciting. Sadly honesty is a rare quality. Television and society actually promotes cheaters too because it's all glamorized in soap operas and films, so people watch them think it's ok to cheat and thus have no qualms about cheating on their partners. How many times do you watch television and see famous stars cheating on each other? It's all to easy to cheat and to some it actually makes it more exciting.

There is no one answer to a question like that....The reasons are as varied as the ppl who do it ya know....Some just can't get what they need in their relationship, some do it out of anger at their partner, some do it just becuase htey really dont care about anyone but themselves and so on....

I think that it could be lots of different reasons : the person wants to feel attractive/exciting the person is bored in their current relationship not enough attention for the "thrill" of the moment vulnerable im sure there are many many more...
