Getting mad at people who don't respond to the discussion correctly

I've noticed that I've been getting annoyed at people who don't respond to my discussions in the way I would like. My discussions can often be tricky in that the title will say "what do you like to eat?" but the actually discussion will have a more in depth question that I would rather you answer. I don't care if you also answer the title question but, I've noticed no one seems to answer the questions in the discussion.
I know I'm guilty of this to from time to time so I really can't say anything about other people, but I think we should all read the discussion fully before responding. It seems that even putting discussions in relevant categories don't work. I recently put a discussion in the wife category hoping that my discussion would be more clear if I were to put it there. I got responses from men, which was fine, but they didn't answer the question in the way It was intended. Which was, what do you collect and decorate the home with? I got one great answer and I'm glad that atleast some read.
Don't you feel bad when you don't answer a discussion without first understanding it, or asking questions to the discussion starter if you don't?
In the meantime, I'm going to try not to get myself worked up over answers that aren't relevant. I often reword the question in a comment to those who don't understand it. Or atleast I've started to. Please don't be shy, just answer, and if you don't understand just say "I Don't" and ask for a clarification.

I won't lie to you. I've gotten some very weird
responses from people on this site.
Not always. Some people really stop to read the
entire discussion.
I don't get really angry, just confused
then I chalk it up to the fact that there are
many non-English speaking people on this site
who use English as second language and whose grasp
of nuance and subtlety is limited.
It's nothing to get worked up over.

Oh I know it's nothing to get worked up over, but I guess
I just do anyway, not sure exactly why either.
I know there are many people from around the world who don't
necessarily understand when a person is being funny, subtle,
etc and I wouldn't imagine I'd understand the same in their langauge.
Oh well.
I appreciate the response.

Don't get me wrong. Some of the things people say
to me on this site really works my nerves.
I'm not immune to it.
Don't even get me started.
Some of the comments I've received
on this site can be down right painful and
just plain mean spirited. But there are times
when talking to friends that it's really nice.

I've come across people who come online just to get things off their chest
or so it seems. I don't know for certain if it's that or if they are just mean
spirited, I reckon they had been bullied, etc, or were the bully at one time or another
to be so mean.
I once got a response from someone who assumed I was stupid, I commented back as did another responder, and ofcourse I reported the guy for being so rude!
Finding Nice people on here is always just so great, and fun!

This is a really good discussion and I am sure that different people have different opinions when it comes to people who do not respond to discussions correctly I am sure there are some people who get annoyed and do not comment to the person because they did not respond correctly, and then I am sure there are people who do not let it get to them, and respond to the person without being angry at them,I know that sometimes you will put in depth questions in your discussions and I agree that people should read the entire discussion before responding because it can get quite annoying when they do not,I know that I am the type of person who always reads the discussion before I even think about responding, and I get a little irritated when people do not answer my questions on my discussions but I still comment to them because if I can comment on a response it means more money so a response is better than no response,I love you with all of my heart and soul, have a great day, good luck with all your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.

I think that I agree with you on everything you have said but the one thing that caught me the most is your last line about a response is better then no response. I appreciate this response from you and I love you.

I try my best to answer discussions with what the writter wants to hear.. lol but i admit sometimes i'm selfish and i just go off on a little tangent of my own. haha. sometimes i'll even do both. I dont think you should get mad.. just ignore their answer.. or ask them How come you responded to the discussion but didn't bother to answer my question properly ? Any ways iw ouldnt worry about it too much.. its just mylot ;) we have some characters here dont we ?

Oh I often do both myself, so I am a bit of a hypocrite in that respect. In any case, yes we do have some characters here, lol. It is just mylot your right, and I should ask in a comment why they didn't respond. I know I've started asking the question again to see if I get a response.

Hi, SomeCowgirl! I also got annoyed when the response was not relevant to the topic. You had mentioned that your discussions were tricky. Maybe some users did not read the details of your discussion, they just answer the question based from your title. Maybe you should put a title that will catch the attention of the users to read the entire discussion so that they will know what you mean and in order for you to get the corresponding answers. This was my view regarding your discussion, happy mylotting...=)

I am not the most original person, so sometimes the titles of my topics aren't that catching! I find the most catching of my discussions are those that are asking for information. Well I appreciate your response.

Maybe it's because sometimes those people are just looking to make the money quickly, and since they aren't paid for the quality of the answer, they don't feel they have to REALLY answer the question thoroughly. But that's not everyone.

You are paid for the quality actually, the more you say the more their is to respond to, and the more you can keep commenting back between the discussion starter, other members and yourself. Sure it doesn't pay automatically but it does in time. It's true though, not all members are the same and moods have a lot to do with the way a discussion is written, responded to, and commented on. Have a wonderful day mylotting.
