If I refer friends to myLot and they sign up but don't participate much, does that count against me with my points or payment?

No,not at all, this doesn't count against you. With each of your references joining you you get 0.01 USD,and you earn about 25% of the earnings of your referrals. If they don't participate it doesn't mean that your reputation is reduced....

Thank you. I didn't want to do anything to take away my rating. I've read through the FAQs and information under other links, but I didn't see this question covered. I'm having fun here and have made $1.06 in ten days. Not much mone yet, but I'm still getting used to the site.

Never. You will get 25% of your every referal earnings. But if they not participate much mylot wil never act agianst you. But you may not get more. If they also work hard and earn money then you will get more. The more referals you got the more you wilol earn

You can´t make your referrals participate. That goes the same way for every site that has the posibility of getting referrals. So it won´t count against you. welcome to mylot!
