Upon watching wife swap, the other night. the subject of a single mom working all hours and not seeing her kids alot , jsut so they could have the best and most expensive things. I asked my boys what they think, all three said they rather to have me availabe all the time then to have te most expensive things.as a mom that works part time at their school , i dont make alot of money. But i spend every free minute wit my kids. they appreciate this more then money. Ask your kids and share thier ideas.

Hi,
I have 2 girls, 14 months & 11 years. My eldest likes an equal amount!!! I'm not sure whether to be offended by her response!!
She's into new things at the moment but is having to save for what she wants!!
Have fun

I see yes at a young age they tend to like material things.lol myself, my kids and i have both lived the rich life and poor, and i think that mkaes a difference. as they have learned to appreciate things they do get.

Well I am sure that my child prefers if I am with her all day and not going to work. Children tend to miss their mothers especially as toddlers. Mine is always crying for me but I cannot stop working since I need the money, I work 8 hours a day however sometime I also take a day off and spend it all day with her she would be very happy.

My kids would prefer that I not work, but that just isn't possible. Luckily I rarely have to work when they are not in school. I am not really working to afford the best of things, just to provide the neccessities. We try to spend as much time together as possible and when I do work weekends I try to go in very early so I can be home before noon.

I agree that spending even a little time with your kids make them precious and valuable to them. It's enough for them that you were always having fun wth them, talking about their schools and what they did inside and outside home. It is better to let them know more about God. Letting them grow what they likes but you should always be there watching.
