Yes, alright then, I know I have got to go another week before I win the lottery, again, but I was just wondering if you were to win a whole lot of millions on the lottery, how much and in what way would you give to charity. This is after you have bought your wonderful house and looked after your future and your childrens. I would probably sponsor parts of Africa and try to make sure that my money went to getting clean water and seeds so that Africans were able to grow their own food. I feel self sufficency does a whole lot more for peoples self esteem rather than just giving them stuff. I would also pay for people with the know how to go there and help people get everything started. I would also go to the local dogs shelter, as promised to my son, and bring home as many dogs as is possible.

I would save at least 10% of it for charity. I wouldn't just give money, though, I would start a foundation that could operate off the interest of the money I invested for it. I would also accept donations if I could get them. I'd pay off my family's debts and help my ex-husband a bit, too. Of course I would pay for a massive spay/neuter campaign and try to get all the strays here snipped, the poor things.

Hello dragon54u, Well I must say you've certainly got your head screwed on haven't you. Also I think your ex-husband is a lucky man there aren't many ex-wives who would think of helping their ex's no matter how much thay won, so well done for having a big heart. I would never have thought of starting a foundation to help people.

I really don't know, perhaps give money to Doctors without Borders and other organizations like that? Or open many orphanages in different countries or something...

I would give to charities close to home. We live in a rural area, and tho we dont have the things africa does to deal with we do have people that need help. Also I would be sure part of the money went to building somthing for the children around here. There are also alot of charities that help people with food and clothing. I would definatly see that they get some of the money. Especially in this aconomy. There are many people who have lost there jobs and scrambling to pay there morgages.
