Could the new swine flu be something made in a laboratory ?

Dont mean to be an alarmist or conspiracy theorist but a few things about the new strain of swine flu strikes me as weird Firstly this strain incorporates human ,bird and swine strains and this is my view is unique I dont think I have ever heard of a strain of virus incorporating so many individual species.Secondly this strian seems to be more infectiuos than either the bovine virus or bird virus .Thirdly it incoporates an influenza strain makes it even more deadly to humans and contagiuos to humans and the influenza virus by itself still cannot be cured . I dont know and I will admit that I dont have all the facts but somethings about this new epidemic touches me as weird. What are your views on this issue ?

That was my first thought! Viruses don't combine naturally. They mutate. By this one being a combination of 3 different viruses it seems it was, indeed, hatched in a lab deliberately. I don't know who would do this or why, but something's going on. Of course the CDC isn't broadcasting the fact that this is not the way viruses behave, but they know something they're not telling.

One characteristic of Viruses is that they are really fast in mutating its form especially if they are in a host. I think even if it is not hatched in a laboratory it is very probable that the three strain would combine naturally since they are capable of doing that. Although, it can be done in lab too so your theory might be right too.

I think that is quite possible,a few years ago we had an outbreak of foot and mouth in England and it turned out the virus had escaped from a government laboratory a few miles away from the first outbreak. It came out of the air conditioning duct,it caused no end of trouble for farmers and travelling was a nightmare.I thought it was strange so many flu's were in the swine flu.My daughter cancelled her two weeks in Mexico a few months ago because of the credit crunch she is going Egypt for a week instead and had her deposit moved as well, how fortunate for her.We feel so sorry for all people living in Mexico having to wear those face masks and it must be so frightening just going out.It seems to have effected the young and old worst,It does seem strange that people visiting the country have travelled home and have only got a mutant less dangerous flu.Perhaps it is the air conditioning on the planes or something.Or maybe because it is hot in Mexico and disease always does better in the heat. What with the credit crunch and now this perhaps we should all pray a bit more.I do hope it does not get to your part of the world ,Israel and America seem to have it worse ,but spain has a case from what I have heard,we have two known cases in England a couple coming back from the honey moon but from what we have heard they are recovering well thank goodness, all their relatives and friend have had the anti viral treatment, but then you have to contact their friends and realatives and so on.Goodness knows how they will contain this one,Take great care lots of love sue.xxx

In England we are all going to get a leaflet telling us how to handle this virus ,goodness knows what they are going to say there is going to be mass panic everyone that sneezes will be up the doctors. It is worry I don't normally get worried easy but I don't mind telling you I don't like this at all.Take care suzzyxx

I am just happy to be living in the country but life dictates you must leave your comfort zone ,my son must go to school in the local town ,my husband must go to work,so to a certain extent we should carry on as much as normal, life will tell us when to stop hopefully this will be the same as the bird flu in Asia that blew it self out,Very sorry for those effected the last thing I would not do is devalue anyones life, one person dying is to many.xxx

It is possible to do that, and I have heard of something similar being done somewhere in the world. The exact location cannot be divulged. Even if it is true in the latest case, why would someone combine the characteristics of three strains? Maybe it was an experiment that went wrong. Whatever, I would not be surprised if someone gets the idea that it is the work of terrorists. On the other hand with globalisation where people can go to different parts of the world it is possible that the three strains met and combined to become a super strain. all the best, rosdimy
