What Do You Know About Reduce, Reuse, Recycle?

hi! the 3R is often used in a lot of environmental awareness programs for some time now. mother earth is crying out loud... for we have exhausted our fair share of natural resources. some first world countries are looking for other places to dump their garbage in. even in my country, cities have been known to dump their trash in another province... thus moving more pollution to rural areas and hazardous wastes detrimental to anyone's health. unfortunately not all trash can be recycled. therefore the reduce and reuse alternative. some groceries and restaurants now pack their products in paper rather than plastic, coz paper is recyclable and plastic isnt. but the catch there is, more trees will be cut to continue to produce paper. therefore the reduce idea is to use less number of plastic bags when buying something or use it again for other stuff until you have exhausted its use. some technology is recycling plastic to "building blocks", some say it's even stronger than hollow blocks and are now being used in constructing infrastructures to stop flood overflows in some 3rd world countries. to do my share of the 3Rs, i do my bit of recycling... whether it's office supplies or old stuff. i always use the back of a used paper to jot down my ideas before printing it in a clean unused sheet. paper disposed will have both sides used. there are those who buy used paper for recycling, so we accumulate some before disposing it to junkshops. bottles and scrap metals go to junkshops too. i'm a fan of recycled paper, im amazed to see neat works of art using recycled products.
