Okay, so this may sound silly... but we'r a Ford family. No matter how good or crappy Ford ends up treating us... we're hooked and won't go elsewhere for a vehicle. I've been told that this is very high school like and juvenille... but I say, you like what you like! Our friends and us have fun picking on each other over the fords, chevy's dodges and whatever and its all in good fun. Do you have a brand you're stuck with? Or do you think we're just being stupid?

My husband and I have had a few Ford's before. Actually, the majority of our cars have been Ford's. LOL However, after our last experience we've had with a Ford vehicle we've had it with them. LOL Now we'd rather have a Toyota, Honda, or Nissan. In fact, our current car is a Nissan. We've only had it for a few weeks, but we are lovin' it so far. LOL All vehicles have their share of problems and need to be maintained, but for some reason Ford's just don't seem to go the distance like the ones I've mentioned above, no matter how well they are taken care of. Happy mylotting!

Only if they start building them like the Japanese.

Japanese cars are no better nowadays. Drive a Ford Fusion and a Camry back to back. The Fusion is definitely better than the Camry in terms of refinement and overall quality.

I have owned a dodge for several years and i was impressed the entire time i owned it. it was a 2000 dodge ram 1500. the only down side to it was that the gas costed an arm and a leg. other than that it was amazing. the power of the 5.9 ltr engine was awesome.

I know what you mean with feeling the power of a motor! We have a 7.3L Deisel Ford and I LOVE it! I joke with my husband all the time that I fell in love with his truck first so I decided to give him a try :) It sounds like you don't have it anymore? What did you up/down grade to? lol

Oh i loved it! i had to down grade to 04 ranger. its nothing like my dodge but it is a 4x4 and i love gettin it dirty. i plan on putting a lift kit on it soon to go with the new tires. right now it kind of looks silly with the big tires and still low to the ground.i like to show off sometimes. im sure you do to.

My dad's huge on Toyotas & Saturns. He's an automechanic, and has been for the past 20 years or so - and he's come to HATE Fords. He says Ford stands for "Fix Or Repair Daily". (You have to admit..Kind of funny.) He likes Toyotas because of their quality, and saturns because of their reliability. So, I lean towards the same side; I have NEVER bought a used car without getting his opinion first. Quite funny. I'm probably going to be either a Toyota or Saturn "lifer" (kind of like how you and your family love Fords), and there's nothing silly about that at all. It's called "brand loyalty".

The quality of Fords have definitely changed a lot. They've been putting out amazing products. The typical american perception about American brands definitely has to change. I don't buy all that "Toyota quality" theory especially considering the countless recalls it's had so far. This goes to show that Toyota is no better than any other.
