I just heard what Brashear did last game. Taunting a guy Before the game is one thing but but injuring a guy During the game is something different.Don't get me wrong, I love a good clean hard check.Do you remember The stevens hit on Lindros? But this was stupid. this reminds me why I was surprised The Caps signed him in the first place. he is a cCap but he still has a little Flyer's dirty play still in him.Forgive me Flyer fans.so now if The Caps Need a big " goon" that can score , he won't be available. What did you think when you heard about Brashear??

I watched it live and about a thousand times on replay. I have yet to see what all the fuss is about. 10 years ago players kept their head up for a reason.
what bothers me is this post season the NHL has been horribly inconsistant, they nail Brashear for hiting a guy taller then him in the head in the shoulder (so obvoisly head wasnt oup) but say Hudlers hit was clean. Hudlers head was down and same thing met with a shoulder. In my opinon neither hit was worth a suspension, but if u do it to one u got to do it to others. Look at later in that game the hit by Dubinsky on Green, hits from behind in my opinion are far worse then shoulder to a player with head down, but Dubinsky got nothing, it was the same hit that gave Jones in Philly a bad name and leaded to the revival of the sterotype of Flyers being a dirty team.

I think any hit to the head should be called and you get thrown out of that game. no other suspensions.I love to se a great check but when Anything is used to hit the head, it is wrong. The best hit I have ever seen was shoulder on body in the middle of the ice. It was the Stevens on Lindros check.I agree if they are going to call it in one game then it should be called in all other games.
