Do you relax yourself by listening to music?

It's general assumption that listening to music help relieving stress, have you had a try before?
I'm a music lover but I don't listen to pop or rock music as I find them too noisy for me, if you think they also helpful in this respect please express your opinion.

well,as to me,I can not rrelax myself by listening to music,I'd rather lie on bed quietly and this could help me relax,it's a different way to help relieving stress I think,when I was upset and feel stressful,I will be not in mood of listening to music,it will tend to be annoying to me.

Yes,i do.I like all type of music,but for relieving stress i prefer classical type of music.I am learning classical music for the last 15 years.Professionally i am not a musician,still i like to hear and sing music.Like you i also dont like music that creates lot of noise and disturbances.
