I Got Your Nanny State Right Here You Want It?

Free health care, I could provide it for you? Free housing, I could provide it for you? Free food, I could provide it for you? Free transportation, I could provide it for you? Free clothing, I could provide it for you? Everything you need I will provide for you, but all I need is a few things from you. First I need to be elected for life. You need me to be President forever but unfortunately I cannot live forever. Second I need complete control over all law making. We cannot afford someone else trying to change things. Third complete loyalty. We cannot afford dissent like we find here on MyLot. All right who wants to sign up?

Thanks but I'd rather keep my independence and pride and work for the things I need as long as possible... however, I have no doubt that there are people who'd sell you their soul for such care - even if they are complaining about you for the rest of their lives

You mean to tell me that you would rather keep your independence and pride instead of having me take care of you for the rest of your life. Well I do not blame you.

I've been earning my own keep and making my own decisions since I was 18 years old so I think I'll pass on that one. Besides, I'm physically incapable of keeping my mouth shut when I see, read or hear about something I'm opposed to or don't like for whatever reason.

Well, everyone who voted for The One has already signed up. They think he will pay their mortgages and all will be sweetness and light. History shows a different reality.

He'll only pay the mortgages of irresponsible people. Those of us who managed our money well and bought what we could afford won't get a dime towards mortgage payments. In fact our fiscal responsibility should be punished with higher taxes. I mean, it IS patriotic to pay higher taxes isn't it?

No thanks, I like my freedom. But unfortunately there are apparently enough people who'd go for something like that, or something close enough. I wish people would finally wake up and realize how much of their freedom and individuality they are giving up for this. What exactly did our forefathers fight for for us to simply throw it all away

Once enough realize that they can obtain anything they want through the bailout box all we will have is a giant mob instead of a country.

No thanks. That is too high a price to pay for my rights and independence. I would rather have none of that and be free than have it all and be a slave.

does not matter how "great" you are. A slave is slave. A cage is a cage....even if it is made of gold.

No thanks. I think I cannot elect you for life and be my president forever. I cannot also guarantee my loyalty to you too because there might be things that you do that i do not approve of.

Not me. I do not want to be dictator for life, but I can see that there are some people who would want a person like that in power as long as he fits their ideal. But if you find out someone who will say yes to all these questions, then we will know that Obama is now a member on myLot and we will know his myLot avatar and nickname.

As someone who has been in that situation, I'd never go back. I also understand why some don't leave. It isn't always a matter of going the easy route but also how difficult they make it to get out. Once I got out, I worked (and still do) like heck to stay out. Free food. I just found out that a church nearby gives a load of food the third Weds of every month. I'm guessing it comes from donations from local farmers because we're talking boxes of fruits and vegetables. This is food that would go to waste so people should get use from them. I'm hoping they have avocados.

No thanks I like looking after me even if it is a pain sometimes. My parents migrated to the Land of the free and brave for a reason. That would be ridiculous for me to accept your offer and just undo all the things they had done for me. Besides none of my family would probably ever talk to me again as the things that we have been through and the struggles that we have endured for me just to give it up for some freebies. Nothing is free...everything has a price on it. Your's would be a my soul and I like it just a little to much for that. Pretty sure that there are several loafers who would take you up on that kind of offer though. You know the people who practically have all these things already as they get it from other people or use them for it. I waited a lot of years to make my own decisions for me and I would like it to stay that way. Thanks for the offer though I appreciate you thinking of me, that was sweet. Master slavery days are over!!!!!!!! LOL Happy Posting :)
