From what I knew, some of co - workers shop online during their working hours, or break time. I never knew that I could do such thing until one day, a talkative co - worker told me so. First, I thought that was against the policy, after all, that was okay. I would do it during my working hours, but I would check it during the break time. At least, I won't offended the policy. Are you allowed to browse and shop online at your workplace?

I am still a student though but i believe it is really unrighteous to do such. Well, the main purpose of your going there is to work not to use your time shopping online or doing things not related to your job. I think they should be guilty of what they're doing for, the company is paying for them as a profit and even the one to pay those time they have wasted. I salute you my friend, you really have that trait of a best employee XD

When I started here I was told not to use the internet period. I didn't listen. I found out that almost everyone who works here uses the internet while working and during their breaks. So why the heck cant I. I am constantly on the internet. I dont do a lot of shopping though just browsing.

I work in IT industry previously and now working in telco industry...without internet, we cannot do any work, so internet during work is a must. Currently, I can do anything online, just software download is restricted by the network admin. As long as you can deliver your assignment, I think shouldn't be a problem to surf net during work.
