would you call this lady an unfit parent?

This mother and her two kids were on their way to run errands and the kids were uncontrolable so she put them out of the car and road around the block. They were 10 and 12 years old. She was later arrested. It's a very big debate going on about this. I don't think she should have put them out the car but they should have been disciplined in some way. You can see this story on the front page of Yahoo.

I am not sure. I would not have put them out of the car. I would have grounded them or made them do chores. See today it is dangerous anymore for kids to walk or be alone. Even at these ages. I know a block is not much. But that is what I would be worried about!

Um, she made them walk? How is that a) a punishment and b) make her an unfit mother?
