Can you sleep when it is really hot?

Yes, i can. Unfortunately, when i was sent to Manila and stayed there for 2 and a half months, i have no choice but to sleep even if it's very hot. I think from February to April, the weather was extremely hot. I have electric fan in the room but it's not enough. I guess the room really needs air conditioning to be able to neutralize the heat. I think i got my prickly from sleeping in that very hot room. My bed and shirt would usually get wet because of my sweat. I find it hard to sleep but i had no choice.

I have some difficulty sleeping in a really hot environment! First, due to perspiration that keeps my back and even all of my body so wet which definitely lead to the second reason which is being UNCOMFORTABLE sleeping in such a way. Good thing there is few occurence of brown outs this year and hope it will not happen anytime soon.

i know i can sleep but it will take a lot of time, tossing and turning in bed just to feel comfortable, i like it when its a bit cold rather than hot. I always bath at night just to feel comfortable and will wear cotton clothes and not silk. I also love to put plants inside my room , especially green plants so that the ambiance is so cold.If you know that your house is also safe, just let the windows open for fresh air. No. I can't I also do the towel trick when its really really hot. But most of the time I keep the aircondition on. BUt early in the morning my mom would tun it off. Which pisses me since I have to get up and turn it back on...

I cannot sleep when it is hot. I live in Florida so it is always humid and hot. Either I have to turn the AC to colder, put on different pjs, or drink some cold water and try and go back to sleep.

I can't.I need a cool and dark room when I go to sleep.it doesn't really matter if it is from the electric fan or airconditioner. as long as the room is cold and dark,I can sleep easily.that's one of the reasons why I didn't join the call center industry.I can't sleep when the sun's at its peak and bright sunshine is streaming in my face.

No I cannot. I have a really hard time sleeping when it's hot. We had a problem this weekend. It was almost 90 outside and we had no fans and the air conditioning for the building was not turned on. We had the windows open and it really didn't help. I didn't sleep very well those two days. We purchased a fan for Sunday though because we just couldn't take it anymore and the air was turned on Monday afternoon and it was great. Now I'm sleeping just fine.

Dear friend, I do take bath if I feel too hot and more as you noted if AC is not there it is really difficult to sleep. But I would just wet my towel and sleep on that, this is what I did when I had to tour in Kanayakumari an hot place during summer in India. I too do the same you do to keep a wet towel over me and lay on a wet towel.

its hard for me to sleep when i'm really hot. i like to be able to sleep with my covers or wise i get cold but if its hot i can't so i might use a sheet.

The other day we had 90 degree weather and it was really hott in my room. I even had my window open and fan blowing on me all night n still couldn't sleep. When its extremely hott like that I can't sleep I just toss n turn all night. But when I have my Air conditioner in my room and its warm like that I sleep peacefully. Must be something about it. But I hate nights when I can't sleep though.

Hello n30wing, I cannot sleep when it is really hot. I will toss and turn all night. I can only sleep when it is cool in my room or I will lose sleep. Happy myLotting!

It really depends, there are a lot of times that I can't but then there are times where it puts me right to sleep. I usually end up trying a cool rag and most of the time it does work, as long as my feet are out and cool then the rest of e is fine. It goes the same way in the winter if my feet are cold then I am cold and once I warm up my feet usually by soaking them in hot water then my body will become warm and I can feel relaxed.
