fork and knife

hi friends! i have a bad habit of holding the knife in the left hand and the fork in my right hand. someone .just told me it is the wrong way to hold the knife and fork. is it that wrong or if someone si comfortable holding the knife in the left hand may hold it in the left hand.

I would think that in general, people who are right-handed would hold their knife in their right hand and people who are left-handed would hold their knife in their left hand. I myself am right-handed and therefore cut with my right hand. However, I've never heard that it is poor etiquette to do it the opposite way.

If you feel comfortable, go ahead. When you are comfortable, you can enjoy your food. Forks & knives are only tools by which you take food. So, don't mind what others said and do as your ways.

It's only wrong if you're trying to impress the queen lol.. I tend to do the opposite, but really it's about which hand is your dominant and how you're comfortable.

no it is not wrong, you should stay and do what comforts you. if you are comfortable with knife at the left then go for it. however for other traditions if you have so, they say wrong because it was told by their grandparents maybe. but scientifically, psychologically i don't see any wrong,
