If you're worrying about swine flu - you won't get infected by it unless it was through human-human contact or through pig-human contact (and of course they have to be sick before you get it from them). It doesn't really come from pork, see: http://is.gd/vgQ7
However, if we're only thinking about what's healthful. Then I think a balanced meal is always good. Well cooked meat is clean and for vegetables, I'd go for something pesticide free. I don't think anyone grows vegetables without using fertilizer though - fertilizer is actually supposed to be good for the plants.
Thanks for the response on my discussion!

According to the news, swine flu cannot be obtained from eating meat. The disease is brought by air. Anyways, for the safe food that we can eat, I guess you just have to buy organic food. It is usually more expensive but at least it safer and healthier at the same time.

Really happy, many people are afraid of taking the meats of certain domestic animals related to bird flu. Yeah, the dreadful swine flu happens at the moment making us scared to take another domestic animal meat again.
We are afraid to take vegetables and fruits, fish and other foods that are available in the market as well. Due to pesticides, chemical additive, and pollutions ….It is believe that most of them could cause harm to our health.
We couldn’t avoid taking all those food daily. We could rely on our immune system only, to combat with the undesirable effect brought by the unhealthy causes mentioned above.
What we do here is to plant some easily grown vegetables in our courtyard. Hopefully this could help us to rely less on the vegetables from the market.
Happy posting and take care.

I don't think there is anything that is 100% safe for us anymore. Too many things we use have pesticides, fillers, hormones, and preservatives that are not the best for us. But the sad truth is that the more natural the state of the item the more esepcially in food items it seems to cost. Somehow that doesn't seem right in the grand scheme of things.

if people start changing their habits because of bird flu etc etc then its a very sad state of the world.
In my own opinion which may or may not be shared by others, there are far too many people who change their eating habits due to illness or possible infection etc etc look at mad cow disease will I ever stop eating beef no way lol cant beat a good steak.
You have more chance of walking out your front door and catching any illness through human contact, than you do of digesting infected meat does that stop us leaving our houses, here in northern uk we have a lot of meningitis cases per year which are reported same as most major cities of the world and this disease can be lethal.
Every thought what germs are contained on every single shop door handle that you touch everyday.
So in answer to your post, there is no foods that are 100% safe just like the air you breathe or the germs you come into contact daily etc etc live your life and eat what you enjoy tho variation is the key I personally think.
