Do you think my mylot password hacked?

I am sorry this has happened with you Sreekala. Have you reported to mylot? If not I think you must do that. Having said this and going by your description since its confirmed that you did not add that person it seems that someone has hacked into your account. Change your password immediately and if possible change your email ID that you have provided here in mylot. Change your Paypal account password also. I would have thought it as a glitch if you weren't that sure that you hadn't added the user. Keep us informed and seek help if needed.

Proud to see another Indian thriving in mylot. I'm one too. I don't think it's been hacked. This incedent has happened to me the first time i joined mylot and that account was rejected. But the rejection is not probably because of this unwarranted intruder, but i think i went against some guideline. I don't think your friend is a good fellow. Most probably a mylot troll. These people come to create disturbance in mylot and do nothing other than harm. It's usually some malware or something that some good software engineer developed. Report this to myLot immediately. They promised us to help us out in the guideline, remember? Happy mylotting then.

Hi Sreekala! I have the same thing and I just noticed now. I don't think your account has been hacked, if the new friend you were referring is Sharon Bucks, in my knowledge Sharon Bucks is the one who was providing mylot tasks and they maybe have a new thingy to come up with the tasks here on mylot and I'm not sure with this, but if you open some of your friends profile you'll see that they were friends of Sharon Bucks also.

I think that the same thing happened to me! I have a new 'friend' who does not have any activity on the account and I don't recall accepting a friend's request from this individual. I haven't had any other odd activity on my account and I am puzzled as to how this could happen? This 'friend' has the number 1 against her name. I'm going to delete her and if it happens again I will report it. I'm not sure what else to do about it. I am going to change my password just in case.

Hi sree,When I saw your new discussion just now I was secretly thrilled because I felt there was a mystery in mylot and felt this was an opportunity for me to awaken the Sherlock Holmes in me,and to solve it immedaitely...So first thing I did was to check my friend's list and sure enough there was one Sharon Bucks whom I did not remember adding,though the name did sound familar.Next I checked the comments of fellow mylottians to your discussion ,and has learned a lot about our new friend... Yes it is the same person who was to coordinate the tasks assigned to mylottians.I guess mylot admin is unhappy at the disinterest/laziness we are showing to do tasks.....So they must have added this person as a friend of everyone,so let us wait and watch further developments.........Perhaps this person ,our new friend will soon start coaxing/threatning us to do the various tasks assigned to us........ Mylot admin,you are full of surprises and sure enough I am game.........

Is your new friend by any chance called "SharonBucks"? I don't know how they managed it but they made several hundred friends at one time. Somewhere there is a fault in the system. I hope Mylot admin can stop this kind of thing. It is not a problem with your account since very many people will see that they also have a new uninvited "friend". I suggest you report it and I will do the same. Good luck!

hi sree,when i saw this discussion,i went and checked my friends list and to my surprise she is there in my friends list.i really have no clue as to what is happening,i think i am going to contact the mylot administration and ak them for some explanation,i remember seeing her name in the tasks but i have not done any tasks till now.i suppose i am going to delete her from my friends list.

Are you sure you did not invite him.Did you check that guy's profile.If yes did you find anything suspicious?.Did you notice any change to your profile, especially your earnings.If you notice any changes to your profile then I think what you have doubted is true.Unless there is no changes to your profile then I think it can be a visual ecstasy, I say it because the same thing has happened to me too!!Anyways for your safety just change your password by making a strong one including symbols,letters-both capital and small and numbers.I use this combination for my internet banking.And it will be better to inform the Mylot too.I think they will have a better infrastructure to look into the matter and resolve it.I think this helped you to relieve a bit.

Hi Sree ! Today I saw the person's name included in my list too.Do not know wehn it was added.only now,I have gone thee to check it.So probably Rose's surmise was right--to create greater enthusisasm for the tasks may be.

I have noticed things like this at Mylot before also. I am not sure how this happens. I have even got referrals too that I did not refer but they are not active.

I am sorry I could not see your discussion earlier. I also see a member named Sharon in my friends' list and I am also not aware how this member got into my list. If need be I'll check it from mylot.

It sounds weird. I have no clue whether there is a possibility that our account with mylot are hacked. I have not noticed the movement in my friendship list. Thanks to my absent-mindedness which did not help me to notice anything amiss. Lets see whats happening next since you have highlighted this matter.

If you are talking about Sharonbucks then this person has creeped into my friend list also. I dont know what is happening because this person was added in my list about 17 hours ago....while I was not online....I think we should report this person.....

Oh how could that ever happen.If you are sure you did not really accepted that person's friendship request and yet he was able to get into your list then somebody had accessed your account without your knowledge. I advice you to change your password now and make sure nobody will know this password.

Hi Sreekala, I come across the same situation as you when I checked my friends list just now. Yeah, the username is quite familiar to me. She is the mylot task creator here. I don’t think my mylot password was hacked. I believe we would receive new tasks notification if we turn the notification button beside her username on. Hurrah I don’t have to take the trouble to check the tasks every now and then anymore. Yeah, we could pm her as well if we come across any problem when doing the mylot task I have turned on the notification just now. Hopefully we could receive notification whenever there are new tasks launched out. Happy posting

Hi sree! Read through all the discussions and found that the person is Sharonbucks.What I find strange is that this is the person who was the one whose name was found as the creator of the tasks.I saw this name in brackets when I used to check what tasks were being offered.

I had the same experience of that before. There was this one user that always pop out in my friend list that says that I am his friend then he would disappear. i did not do anything about it since I am still able to access my account. What I did instead was to change my password and those stop that weird incident. So far I have not encountered that and no strange episodes like that in my account.

I have never heard of any mylot accounts being hacked and i hope its not that way. Sometimes our referrals gets directly added to our friends list without our knowledge and i hope you case is also that one, it will be very disappointing to hear that there are hackers here in mylot. I have been a member here in mylot for almost three years and till today i haven't faced any problems regarding hackers and i do hope its still safe till today. I hope our accounts are still safe.

I don't think so. I have encountered this sharon bucks before in the task but never knew she was some sort of a moderator in mylot. But i disagree with some users here when they said that most mylot users are lazy in making tasks. i tried it so many times but i can't even make one. so, i just decided to focus on the usual here. maybe i should add that sharon bucks.
