hi all!
i used to live a pretty hectic lifestyle. now that i am a new mother with a month old baby, my life is more hectic.
with that, i get stressed pretty easily. it often manifests in a bad mood. then eventually, if i don't relax for a while i get a headache. i easily snap at people when i am stressed, especially at my husband. poor thing! i am very irritable. so it is as if, if i am stressed get out of my way!
so if i am stressed, i take a break. i get a massage or something. or i just simply go away for a few minutes and do something that pleases me. i mean, we would really be stressed as we live our lives. but this should not affect our health. and the symptoms should not stay longer than a day. otherwise, we will break.
so i make it a point to ask for help and get some sleep. no time for shopping now, just sleep. somehow, during this period of rest, even for just an hour, my stresses melt away. i am relieved and i ready to take on new challenges, especially when the baby wakes up and needs attention. but i have to rest periodically in order to survive the stresses of the day.
how about you? how do you deal with stress?
take care. God bless you all and happy mylotting!: D

I understand your situation, since i myself ever been through this type of situation before. When i had my first child, i too felt very hard to adjust to my new life. I can't go shopping as i like. And i even can't go library to read books as i like. I just felt that, i had lost the freedom forever after i had my son. After, day by day, i am sure you will be familiar with your new life. If you really felt the need to rest, do let your husband or your mum know, i am sure they are willing to help you for a while, to let you rest and had your energy restored back. Good luck..

Hi, Congratulations on your new baby. It's hard to raise children. There is one crucial thing you have to do. SLEEP when baby sleeps. Put him in the room with you, so when he wakes up he will wake you up.When you have guests let them tire the baby out. They do tire out easily ,just like you will ,until your body gets back in shape. You really want to enjoy having a new baby, you can find ways around the stress.

I got stresses lately too. Something to do with my work. Both jobs. Especially dealing with people. You have to be extra careful. You don't want to piss them off, and you don't want to get yourself in trouble. I have to deal with that. I tried to do everything meticulously. I did my best, and I try my best too. If some people just won't please with it. I don't know what to say. Life just been this way.

I have six children,my youngest is nearly six and is a handful.I used to have one night out a week like i still do and i found going out with friends just for that one night made alot of difference. That way i had something for me to look fordward to and i did not feel like just a mum or a house wife.I also found having a warm bath was most stress relieving. If you dont feel less stressed soon go and have a word with your doctor they can help.

Yup that is what is usually happens for the first few months of motherhood. Well I just did have a stressful day today. Although it is work realted. I really had a bad day when i went to BIR to have our books of account stamped by them. I started yesterday and till now they haven't made a mov to approved it. They always look for a problem in the papers I am submitting. It really made my day bad since I feel I wasted my whole day at this office doing nothing but wait.
You are lucky you are at home and you could just sleep away your stresses at work i cannot do that and even I am home now I cannot feel good anymore since the I stil feel tired for the day and there's no outlet but wait for me to feel sleepy tonight. Hopefully when I come back to BIR tommorrow they would finally stamp the books.
