a lot of people normally think that a "soulmate" is someone you'd loved in your previous life and is fated to be your partner for the rest of your life. ...right?
Like it's someone you have to look for through-out your lifetime..and once you've found him/her, you are guaranteed a lifetime of happiness...
According to "answers.com"
-Soulmate is a term is used to designate someone with whom one has a feeling of deep and natural affinity, love, intimacy, sexuality, and/or compatibility.
I do believe I have a soulmate..and I've found him already...but not in this sense...
He's a cousin of mine...a couple of years older than I am..we're not romantically linked or anything..but I do believe his my twin soul.
We are super compatible..he likes the things I like... we enjoy doing things together..we can hang out with only two bottles of wine in a bar from 10pm till 7am and we never run out of things to talk about...on weekends, we normally go to the mall, eat lasagna, walk and window shop for hours, have some coffee ..then go home when the store's about to close..we think alike...we have the same mood swings..the same cravings..the same wicked humor...he hates me for the sames I hate about him...wehehe...we don't even have to speak in order to hear each other's thoughts...
he calls me his alter-ego..he's my doppleganger..
...................my SOULMATE.......who's yours?....... *^^*

Wow, to be honest with you. I haven't found that person in my life yet. That is why so sad about me right now. Because I won't be able to find this particular person in my lifetime yet. In my searching, I always fall for the physical attractions rather than being soulmate. That is not right, don't you think?

I certainly believe that we have soulmates. I wrote an article about it and during my research I found that a soul mate is not necessarily someone you will share a romantic relationship with; if it is it might not necessarily be a life long one.
As I look back at my experiences I can recall people I would recognize as soul mates and yet they were certainly not love interests. These days my own daughter fits that mold.
It sounds as though your cousin may well be a soulmate for you. I believe when you encounter your soulmate you just know it deep inside and it can be a romantic relationship but not necessarily so.
