Cats misrepresented in cartoons and some films

Cartoon Network was just the station I was thinking of with misrepresenting cats. Watch a episode of "Johnny Test" with the cat in it. Cat woman was a jewel thief but I can't say how she is represented in cartoons because I haven't seen her in any. Tom and Jerry doesn't give a positive spin nor does Sylvester and Tweety. Even Garfield is depicted as fat + lazy + selfish. I do agree that there are some caring depiction of cats in cartoons but I wouldn't say that the numbers are overwhelming. It is more likely to see a catch being chased by a dog on a cartoon then to see a cat making new friends and helping others (Although I adore Hello Kitty very much). I do appreciate your insight and it helped me to realize that I also mentioned one side of the story. Much thanks.

Yes may be you are right here!!! on the whole if you see there is a negative depiction of the cats!!!! One more on thing on this!! if you see the dogs in realty!! espacially those wandering without their owners (These kinds of dogs are very common in Pakistan) they will bark at you sometimes....some are very scarry ones....some will even bite you!!!!...further more the mouse in real life are also believed to be dirty and are hated in realty!!! But cat's they are very inocent and cute animals!!! and most people like them!!! So may be these movies and cartoons try to change our attitudes towards dogs and mice!!!
