I've been in 5 accidents, the first 4 were not my fault, the 5th one was. The first one a women turned right in front of me and I ended up with a totaled car and two black eyes. The next one my neighbor backed out and hit my driver side door and I had to get a whole new door. The 3rd, I was at the McDonalds drive thru and the guy in front of me decided he didn't want to eat after all and backed up in to my car. The 4th a guy just bumped in to the back of me and the 5th I bumped into someone and broke my headlight, barely scratched his car.

I have been in only one, but it was enough to scare the crud out of me. It was on a really bad icy day, and we had just gotten about 6 inches of snow. I didn't know there was a sheet of ice under the snow as I was going down a steep hill, and my car hit it and went sideways. I went all the way down till I slamed up against a tree. My seat belt broke and my head went flying into the steering wheel. My daughter was in her car seat and thank goodness, that kept her safe. I sat there, trying to get my thoughts together, and two cars passed me, never stopping! I got out, and was scared because my daughter who was 4 at the time was crying. I didn't know if she was hurt. So I crawled over her and got her out(my door was jamed against the tree.), and I carried her back up the hill to the farm house that was there. no one answered their door, I went to two other houses before I told the person inside that if they didnt open the door I was breaking the window. I needed help. They let me in. I called for help and was rushed to the hospital. I found out later I had broke three ribs and fractured even more. While getting a x-ray done, I also found out I was three months along in a pregnacy I didn't even know about. I was scared. Somehow I managed to have strength to carry my daughter around they said for almost a half mile total with broken ribs, and still manage to be okay, and not loose my baby. I feel blessed and am much more careful when driving when the snow falls.

Thankfully I have not been in an accident. But, with my husband driving I swear he is an accident looking for a place to happen. He drives too fast for the road conditions.

I learned my lesson about driving too fast,(in the rain at least). I was going to fast and couldn't stop w/o hitting the car in front of me. I looked over at the other lane and there was no oncoming traffic, so I made a u-turn and luckily didn't cause a wreck.

I thankfully never really have been in one. *knocking on lots of wood*
I was in one, which I wouldn't really call an accident, down in Texas...it was just someone that bumped the back of Jason's pick up. Nothing was felt or anything, so to me that doesn't count.

Only 3 fortunately, I think. One when I was a child sleeping in our VW bus, we got hit by a drunk driver--a close call. When I was driving to work in college a driver pulled into an intersection and hit me. A few years later a friend was driving me home in my town and my side of the car got hit--no injuries, fortunately.

I have been in one. I was going thur a green light. The lights were messed up. So my light stayed green for a long time. This van started to roll out and the car next to him thought it was ok to go and hit me. He said i hit her, but it wasnt my fault. It was my first car I had bought when i was young.

Just a couple. One I blame totally on Seattle traffic. I was trying to change lanes to avoid being shunted onto an exit I didn't want and all that traffic just stopped instantaneously. I barely tapped the person in front of me, but it still caused my insurance rates to rise. In another, I stopped to let two teenagers cross the street b/c they were already in the street (not at an intersection) and a limousine rear ended me! It was crazy.

I have been in about 4 car accidents. The very first one was not really my fault... I had only been driving for myself for a couple of months and I was on the way home from work and this guy slammed on his brakes at a green light. I rear ended him but nothing happened to his car (there was damage to mine though). The second time someone rear ended my car while my dad and I were driving (my dad was behind the wheel). The third one was in my brand new car... I didn't make a turn sharp enough into a parking spot and i clipped the car next to me. The last one was the most scary. I was on the expressway and this lady cut me off really close and then proceeded to slam on her brakes. I hit her going about 50+ miles an hour and surprisingly NOTHING happened to our cars... but this is because she was still moving when I hit her.

two.
first one in 1977, I got run off the road, and I sideswiped a light pole.....
second one, I was at a yield sign at a traffic circle in 1986, and an 18 wheeler hit me as I was easing forward to see if it was clear. he thought I was just gonna drive on through, he got ticketed for inattention
no injuries in either one, just damage to vehicles. second wreck was a vehicle owned by where I worked.
