Hey guys, recently I bought a original Windows XP disc. For about two years I have been using a pirated version of Windows XP.Now,while using the original one I could not notice any difference between the two!!
So,what's the difference and which one do you use??

Well I guess the only difference between the two is that you can easily get updates from the license one and from the pirated copy there is this one update that you have to avoid loading the WGA notification. Once you download that to your pirates OS it will notify you always to buy a genuine one and constantly pestering you everytim you boot up your OS. In the license version whenever you download this update they will never pester you with this one. So far this is the only difference you'll notice but functionality wise they are almost the same with some limitation on some software.

I use a genuine version of Windows that came with my Lappy. But as far as I have seen, more than 80% of the PC owners use the pirated version, only those who get it free with their computers use the original one.
Prior to using this Laptop when I had a desktop, even I used a pirated version, since I didn't have that much money to engage for a genuine copy. (What happens is, somebody buys a genuine copy and that original disc is copied which in turn is copied and the vicious circle goes on).
There is no difference in using the two different copies except in the Windows Update, as explained by the pal above.

I also use pirated windows and technically there is no difference between the do. All things of the paid version are available in a pirated version as well. Though now I use windows 7 which is free till august.
If you have money to buy genuine then you should buy it else pirated versions are a;so very good. Though some users may argue upon virus attacks and updates stuff.

frankly, i am using pirated instead of original, at first it is in the original copy but since when i need to reformat my computer i badly needed to reformat also the operating system as well. You may not notice but, in your original thing you probably can have updates without being caught or something. If you'll use the pirated one, you are advised to turn off your automatic updates for some reason that might cause you to prison.
