I read about this book recently on another website. It's won the Pulitzer Prize which is apparently uncommmon for a science fiction novel to do so. The book is basically about a man and his young son living in the United States. When the book starts out, there was some sort of apocalyptic event (that isn't identified in the novel) that destroyed civilization and killed off a lot of the world's plant and animal life. At the beginning, the boy's mother had committed suicide at some point prior to the start of the story. The story follows the man and his young son traveling across the southeastern section of the United States as they search for somewhere that society as it was still exists. I'm thinking about buying this book on eBay sometime. Has anyone read it? How was it? Good or bad?

I think that it would be somerthing that I would probably enjoy reading. I wish I could get my hands on it somewhere along the way.
