"Mickey Mouse built a house how many bricks did he use?" "Cinderella, dressed in yella, went upstairs to kiss a fella. Made a mistake, kissed a snake; how many doctors did it take?" "Bubblegum, bubblegum in a dish, how many pieces do you wish?" "Eeny meeny miny mo, catch a tiger by his toe, if he hollers let him go, eeny meeny miny mo." "My mother and your mother were hanging up clothes. My mother punched your mother right in the nose. What color was the blood?" other than the surprisingly sneak-up-on-you without warning "NOT IT!!!" do you remember any rhymes that you and your friends used to fairly and diplomatically choose the dreaded "IT" in hide and seek, tag, and other childhood games??? ooooooooh.............i almost forgot: "Miss Susie had a steamboat The Steamboat had a bell Miss Susie went to heaven The Steamboat went to HELLo operator Please get me number nine and if you disconnect me I'll cut off your BEHIND the 'friderator there was a piece of glass Miss Susie sat upon it and cut her big fat ASK me no more questions please tell me no more lies the boys are in the bathroom zipping up their FLIES are in the kitchen eating apple pies." .............of course that last one was one of those singing clapping songs that the girls did.............and us boys learned to do secretly..........shhhhhhhh.

Now a few of these bring back memories of my school days. But me and my sister do a few of the clap hands ones still she is 7 and likes to do them. I tell you it is great arm exercises especially if you do them like 15 times in a row..lol She like the one called Miss Mary Mac,and bubble gum bubble in a dish and Miss Sue from Alabama. Some of the ones I haven't ever heard..but sounds funny as where the steamboat went..

Hey sconi! I appreciate you bringing back pieces of my past as always! I don't think some of them went the same way, but I don't remember them anyway! Here's one I sort of remember for ya! Engine Engine Number 9, going down the Chicago Line! If the train falls off the track, do I get my money back? I think that was another jump rope song! Do I get a prize?

Most of these types of rhymes were used for jump rope when I was younger. I remember all of these. I don't see kids these days jumping rope or doing these kinds of rhymes. How much fun they miss out on? Thanks for posting this and bringing back so many childhood memories.

Everyone has brought back a lot of memories, I can remember when I was little and while riding the bus to school all of us would be doing some of these rhymes. I can't remember a lot of the words right now. I do remember Peter, Peter, pumpkin eater, and one potato, two potato. We used to do one the had something about your sister marring Frankenstein but I can't remember just exactly how it goes right now.

My daughter came home with a cool one the other day. It goes: BINGO!
