What would be your most favorite unexpected twist/scene in a movie? mine would be in the movie "The Departed" where Leonardo DiCaprio just gets shot in the head by another unknown rat cop when the elevator opens. Really did not expect that one and that scene just took the breath out of me coz i'd never thought in a million years that Leo's character in any movie would just die like that, meaning no dramatic or exagerated feeling. How about you?

For me it was the Night Shyamlan's "Sixth sense", where in the end the viewers come to know that Bruce Willis character is a ghost.

Nice! Completely forgot about that one. Discovering that Bruce Willis was a ghost was priceless!

Yeah, I forgot about that one! And "The Others" was another great one with a surprise ending. However, I didn't like the M. Night Shyamalan one about the community living in their own place, separate from modern society (The Village). The ending to that one sucked, IMO.

Hello keriyoni, This show is loosen base on a Chinese show that star andy lau, tony leong and leon lai. I would not have been surprise at departed, However the chinese movie did have many twist and turns. If you can you should try to get one with subtitles. I tell it is one of the best movies ever made. You would be glad to know there are 3 installments and in the end, it is a rather sorry end. However the acting and plot is number one.

I found this little trailer that you might find it interesting of the movie I am talking about, sorry I forgotten to leave the title, it is called internal affairs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfi1usTjihw Back then it was Hong Kong hottest movie, I like it partly because of Tony Leong, I think he is one of the all the greatest actors around.

Thanks for the heads up I actually watched the original as well and I got to admit it was really good and if I'm not mistaken the title was "Infernal Affairs" something about being in hell or something (Andy Lau is awesome)

Yap sorry I got the title mixed up. I like the way that tony leong character and andy lau's character trying to keep pace with each other to find each other's identity. Yet how they managed to outsmart each other to keep clear of each other until the very end.

Well, I would talk about a Hindi(bollywood) movie. In this movie one of the top class actress was acting. She had a co-actress too. This guy was completely in love with this girl. This was a suspense movie in which 1 by 1 people were getting killed. To my surprise, this lady was the killer! I mean she was one of the best acress who never acted other than being a leading female role but this movie she was a villane. this was the most surprising factor for me. Note: the movie was "Gupt"!

My favorite unexpected twist was that of Scream movie, when at the very end, the killer happens to be the boyfriend (played by Scott Ulrich)and protector of Cindy played by Neve Campbell. It was really unpredictable but I love it because it makes the film very suspense. But talking about annoying unexpected twist in the movies, there are so many that it's not worth mentioning, because it makes me angry why film makers allowed those boring twist to happen in the movie, it looks very ordinary and cheap.

Well exactly why I put this post up because a lot of movies nowadays are so predictable that once in a while when you get surprised by a specific unexpected scene youre just left dumbfounded and shaking your head in disbelief, when a movie does that to me, im happy

One of the ones i was surprised wit was the end of "The Myst" The Dad trys through the whole thing to make sure his sone lives and at the end realizes there is no hope and shoots his kid and the two others now out of bullets he leaves the car so the myst creatures will kill him and it doesn't happen. I can't imagine the feeling of the Dad knowing what he just did and if he had waited a couple minutes they would have survived to.

It has to be 'The Others,' when Nicole Kidman is living in a haunted house with her children, waiting for the return of her husband. At the end, it turns out that Kidman and her kids are the ghosts, while all the way through, you've been led to believe they were terrified of the manifestations in the house. The whole movie is rivetting, and this must be one of Kidman's best performances ever. Only trouble is, it's not the kind of movie you can watch a second time, unless you want to look for clues.

This is gonna sound a bit corny, but I have to say Shrek was a bit unexpected in the first one how they don't stay looking all nice and beautiful. Because all the Disney movies seem to have a happily ever after feeling and everyone is pretty and happy, etc. I guess this one still had that, but without the pretty part, lol!

For me the best twist was in the movie "The Illusionist". One of the best Drama/Romance movies with that kind of an effect!
