yes, i saw a person attempting suicide in the public. it was on my way to office from home in the morning. on the way there is a hospital and nearby i saw a very huge crowd. police and fire force were also present. the traffic was fully blocked. i saw all the people looking into one direction but couldnt understand what it was. later on enquired with the driver and he said that one man is sitting on top of a coconut tree and is terrorising the people saying he would jump from there. driver also added that this person has been on top of the coconut tree from the day before.. ie, almost 15 hours he had been sitting on top of it. on hearing this i really felt like laughing. isnt he making those thousands of people watching him a fool and wasting their time??? heard that there was media coverage too. am not aware as to what happened after that. what about you people? share your experiences..

I have seen my teacher trying to hang herself when I was in highschool. :) Our batch can make any self respecting teacher into person off to the loony bin :) We stopped her ofcourse and used the knot to tie her around the flag pole...Job well done :)

My boyfriend and I were arguing and I was getting ready to call my aunt to come pick me up and take me back to my grams since I was staying with her for the summer and a couple of my friends ran downstairs and yelled for me to come back upstairs and said to me hurry Eric is playing with a knife and threatening to cut himself and not go to the hospital if you leave. Well I ran back upstairs and I was taking knifes from him left and right not knowing where he was getting them from and then all the sudden I looked at him and said what is this to you a f$%king joke? and then he slit his wrist right there in front of me. We got him to go to the er and he got stitches I remained for the rest of the night so he wouldn't do anything stupid and then I left and went to my grams and from there I went to my other friends missy's house and I told him that our relationship was on hold until I had time to think.

I suppose but I'm not sure he still to this day hasn't told me what went through his mind when he did this. :(. I haven't been with him for over 12 years now.

I can honestly say I have never witnessed such a situation. I guess he was really feeling like he needed some attention. Yes, things like this do unfortunately waste some people's time, especially that of the officers that could have been dealing with other things. However when someone is feeling down and out there is not extent to the things they may try. I think the saddest thing I have ever heard of is the people that involve some one else in their attempts to end their own lives, like those that hit another vehicle head on to kill themselves or those that threaten the life of an officer to get the officer to shoot them.

yeah, once in college when I ride a bike across the building,I big boy is standing on the top of the building, many people are standing around the building, cops were preparing the materials near the building in case the boy jumped down, some one was speaking to the boy to convince him and finally, the boy realised that he should not be end of life like this and walk down himself.

I have never seen this before, I have seen this from TV a lot, I think it's not a good experience for me to see this, it will make me feel not good, and I will scared by that. I hope that person is OK now, I hope he will never do this again.

I had once seen a man.......who out of nowhere came and place his head on the tracks and killed himself......I went little ahead to find out what had happened....and people there said.....he was standing at a stall nearby and was very normal.....all of a sudden he saw a train approaching and he ran towards the tracks and placed his head on the track.....it happened all of a sudden and people around had no clue how to save him.....the motor man tried applying the brakes but was of no use....2 coaches of the train ran over the mans head separating it from his body......sorry for being so descriptive but I cant believe that people can do something like this......i can imagine the amount of frustration and depression he might be into....it is sad to see scenes like these......
