I do share my sorrow with my dog. Since I hate to share my sorrow with anybody. I don't want to be open naked in front of others and if our relationship fails they attack me and use my own words as a weapon. Dogs are affectionate.

Whenever I need to vent or need a shoulder to cry on I go to one of my best friends who I can tell anything to. Also, my sister as she falls under the category of a "best friend" to me since we are very close.

My husband is my solace. If I have a problem he knows about it first and formost. usually. There was a time when his job called him away all the time, then my best friend became my confident. She still is but she finds everything out after my husband. When my husband was out of town I used to try to get comfort from my mother but she isn't the most loving compassionate person in the world. My mother in law and my 2 sister in laws are also people I can confide in or cry on thier shoulder. When I found out my dad was dying of cancer, my husband was in Louisiana for Hurricane Katrina, my best friend was at work and I couldn't reach her, and some how I managed to drive across town to my Mother in laws by the time I walked in the door I was unable to speak, and she just held me while I cried for hours, soothing me and trying to calm me, once I calmed she talked to me and reassured me that though it was horrible news and she was sorry she'd be there for me.
