Emergency room

Ok so i collapsed yesterday in town and banged my head really bad. I didnt let them call an ambulance. I understand that collapsing would take an ambulance off the street that someone seriousle ill may need. so i made my own way to the emergency room and was told i had a 4 hour wait. this was 1/4 to 6 in the evening. at half 12 i still had not seen a doctor or got the ice pack they had told me they would bring out. They gave me 2 paracetemol,took blood and told me to go back and wait. i ended up giving up and going home when they proceeded to tell me that even though i was second in line when i arrived at 5.45 that i was now 4th in line at 12.45. as a head injury is not serious,even though i was getting weak and sick. the whole eveinign people had been coming in drunk and high on drugs in ambulances and seen before everyone else. is it just me or is this a joke ???? Should i have called the ambulance in the first place ??? Should i have left and gone home and then called the ambulance ??
