The attacks on the White House web site was organized by a group of Chinese hackers. They said they never intended for it to become that serious but now there are cases of hundreds of American sites being hacked every week! Is the Chinese gov't attacking? Who knows.

Chinese programmers are really making people around the world aware about their existence. The recent White House web site attack referred by you is an example. Earlier Chinese guys were not educated with English, hence they could were seen nowhere in IT or programming. But in recent days, they have come up and come up strong!!
It may be attack supported by the Chinese Govt, but this is the time for techies from other countries to show their potential by stopping such mischief!
