Use a tumble dryer only when absolutely necessary. Drying clothes naturally is by far
the best way to do it.Your clothes will last longer and the energy provided is free and non-polluting.
So do these small things and save energy and save earth.

Hanging your laundry out on a line is the natural way to dry clothes, and it will save on your electric bill also.
I live in the south in a small city and you can see clothes hanging on clothe lines often, it is a very good nostalgic sight to see. I don't hang mine out but I do remember the time my grandmother and other relatives did this. I would too if I had a clothe line.
I think I will get one this summer since I am not working now. That would help me out a lot and save on my electric bill. Thanks for sharing.

This is very good advice. I would add that if you have to use the dryer, why not wait until a time when energy use isn't at its peak. This will stress the system less, save you money and not force the power companies to rely on dirtier means for producing the electricity that we need. I have clotheslines both inside and outside. The summer time is an excellent time to dry your clothes quickly outside. It makes your clothes smell fresh too.

I hang up a lot of clothes on the back porch with my clothes hanger line. I was actually just out there hanging up some shirts and the dark clothes i just finished cleaning. I do throw in socks and underwear in the dryer because they don't take as long and i wont be wasting to much electricity doing so. I hang up everything from jeans, to shirts to really anything i want to hang up at the moment. A lot of shirts and work clothes get hung up because they won't shrink and the color stays longer on them. I agree with you so much on your statement. Enjoy the rest of the day mylotting.
