What was the longest time for you?

OK So I am on bed rest except for bathroom privileges for the next 6-10 weeks due to a torn ligament, and it may be longer if I have to have surgery after my 6-10 week period (they are seeing if with shots and stuff if it will heal on its own). So what is the longest you have been on bedrest for an injury or surgery??

i guess after i had my two daughters and then had a partial hysterectomy. with that sort of surgery it is hard to get around and you get tired pretty quickly. i do expect that i will have to have knee surgery in the future and i hear that is a long recovery as well. hope you have lots of good books to read!

Thank you so much for your responses and support and caring. I had a hysterectomy too back in 1994 and even though the surgery was a little painful it was WELL WORTH IT!!! In fact the other night at the ER when I was asked when was my last period, and I said 1994, she laughed and said that all patients that have had a hysterectomy always tell her the year with a smile on their face as if it is like a birthday or something, and I told her laughing that her theory is true and when the day comes (she was real young like 22) for her to no longer have periods she would understand the smiling and celebrations and that I hope she never had to have endometriosis and all the pain associated with it. Anyway thanks again for all your support and friendship on here!!!!
