A sweaty man's smell - a turn on or turn off?

This may sound weird, but I was reading a book last night and the girl in the story was going on and on about the way the guy in the story (a cowboy, if that ain't expected in a romance novel ) smelled while she was helping him replace fence posts in the desert, in the sun, in the middle of the afternoon. The smell of sweat is NOT a turn on for me. It makes me gag. My husband knows that when he comes in from outside to shower before he comes around me. I love the smell of his cologne, and his bodywash and shampoo, even his deoderant smells decent, but the smell of a sweaty guy was never anything I got turned on about. I was curious if it was just me or if sometimes these romance novels are just to much?

haha now that is really funny. for me, sweat and the smell is really a huge turn off. but well i dont mind seeing my man sweaty and all, most especially if he is doing something that would make him sweat. i will just go and dry him off the sweat and i would still hug him after that even if he is not fresh off the shower. its still ok for me. what i dont like, is the smell of a man who seemed like he did not have a bath for years. haha

I don't mind LOOKING at a sweaty guy, as long as he's far enough away that I can't smell him. lol I've seen some guys working outside that look like Greek Gods, but when they get close enough to talk to me the smell makes me gag. They don't usually appreciate that, either. lmao A girl retching at them when they get close tends to hurt their ego a wee bit.

It is a very interesting topic to discuss! I think sweaty men won't turn me on, all I can think of is gross, sticky and nasty... It was funny that my hubb has asked me before that if it turns me on when I smell him sweaty, I was like NO. I think men think they turn girls on by having a sweaty body :-p I don't know. :-p

Nope, I hate smelling that sweaty smell - bitter, sour ! Like you, I prefer my husband's clean musky smell - toothpaste, shaving cream, soaps!

it depends on the sweat of a man, if he sweat after taking a bath and his sweat feels smells like really a man, then that would be good. but if his sweat smells foul because of not taking a bath, then that would be a biggest turn off.
