So my husband was sick last Saturday with I don't know what kind of flu, regular, swine, bird, who knows, anyway, he had the headache, stomach ache, throwing up, hurting, coughing, ect. He stayed in bed all weekend, and now he is better. Than at the beginning of the week, I had it, just a little, got some rest, now I feel mostly better. Then my 8 month old son got it around the beginning of the week too. he threw up all day yesterday and has had a slight fever, been coughing, had a goopy nose, and been crying. He isn't throwing up today, fever is down, and not as crabby. Now my almost 4 yr. old daughter was up all night puking. She has a fever this morning, still puking. Should I be concerned with all the 'swine flu' talk going around? my husband and I both got over whatever we have fairly easily, and I think my son is recovering well. I just need some motherly advice, I'm so worried about my kids. Anyone? thanks in advance..

I would think that a flu is like a heavy cold, it makes no sense just to think that because there is this new disease supposedly spreading around that he has caught it. It probably is an ordinary flu.

I am sorry to hear that ! I think you must see a doctor, then he have confirm that what it is . Adults usually can weather sickness a little better than kids. It would be interesting to know if your family has had it,in fact you mean that you are immune to it.That is,if having it will build up your immunity.I think this can only be answerde by a doctor.

Chances are since everyone is getting over it so quick, it is probably just a case of normal Flu, and nothing to really be concerned about. I would only be worried like they are saying if the Fever goes over 100 and stays there, and if you are sick more than a day or two. I know that there are many people panicking anymore but if we all play it cautious hopefully it will be something that seems to blow over for everyone as well.

I would see a doctor. Especially with small children you need to be careful. It's no overreacting it's just better to err on the side of caution. If you don't have insurance, I'm pretty sure there are some state agencies that can help you out.

I have been keeping up with the swine flu update and it doesnt sound like what they describe. They say that it either doesnt go away at all or it comes back really quick. But if you are that worried why not take them to the doctors. A little doctor bill is nothing compared to your peace of mind.
I have kept up with all of this swine flu data. My youngest got the bad flu a few years ago and was hospitalized for 3 days because of it. I told my hubby that if the who ( world health organization) takes it to pandemic leavel 6 I will keep kids home. He just rolls his eye's and say's I worry to much. But the heck with him and anyone else who thinks like that. I know 2 people who have lost children and I will not let it happen to me!!!
So I would say do what you think is right and dont worry what anyone thinks as long as it keeps your kids safe and you sane ;)
