My father disowned my sister and me.

My sister visited my father last month and had a small spat with him over diciplining my nephew. She called and told me about it, I told her that I would call Dad after he brought her back home. When I treid to call the following Monday he had changed his cell phone number and mailed us a very curt letter stating that he did not want us to call or write to him that he wanted no contact with either of us. We are both in our 30's and he wasn't the best Dad but we could overlook that. Has any one else had a similar experiance?
